Knit snowflakes, wool ornaments and a snowman made of yarn – sounds like an ugly Christmas sweater. This year, there’s no shortage of events and pub crawls to show off your fleece finest.
Ugly Sweater Party and Holiday Trivia Night
When: December 15, 2011 – 10:00PM
The title speaks for itself. Guests we’ll be sporting some heinous sweaters and playing trivia. Trivia begins at 10PM, but ugly loves company, use their free WiFi to research for trivia and taste test some winter beers anytime.

Noise For Toys
When: December 16, 2011 – 8:30PM
Bring a packaged, unwrapped toy to donate at a charity concert featuring live music by, State And Madison, Archie Powell & The Exports. The Noise FM and The Scissors. Other festive activities include, a photo booth, an ugly sweater contest and a raffle. Tickets are $12 or $5 with a packaged toy. There, now your bad sweater is doing some charitable good for the holidays.
A Beer Carol
When: December 17, 2011 – 4:00PM
Give your liver a break and take in a night at the theater. The Drinking & Writing Theater presents, A Beer Carol. This 1940s-era radio play is based on a corporate VIP, Bud Miller (Get it?) who runs a large brewery. Following a familiar holiday story, a series of ghosts visit Miller on Christmas Eve. Tickets are available for $18. Show ends, December 17.

Ugly Sweater Party
When: December 21, 2011 – 10:00PM
Itching to put that horrible sweater Grandma gave you to good use? Wear it to Moe’s ugly sweater party – you might score a Moe’s gift card if that sweater is the ugliest of the ugly! Specials include $5 domestic bottles and $5 candy cane shots all night. Music by DJ Dirty Darren from 10PM-2AM.
Santa Shuffle Pub Crawl
When: December 21, 2011 – 8:00PM
This 6-bar crawl includes a buffet, domestic drafts, elf punch and trolley rides between McGee’s Tavern and Grille, Redmond’s, Duffy’s Tavern and Grill, Wrightwood Tap, Durkin’s Tavern and Maeve. Start at any location.
Ugly Sweater Hip-Hop Extravaganza
When: December 23, 2011 – 11:00PM
That may be your grandma’s sweater but this isn’t her type of concert. Rock out to David Way, 10- 10:45PM, Blackout, 11- 11:30PM, Reign Supreme feat. ABK, Blunt Crew, Manny Duke, Prince God, Wizdum, and Vitamin D, 11:30PM- 2AM.
